So were sitting there enjoying our first Maß of the day when already the hunger hits. Instead of the typical Hendl (Hänchen - Chicken), I order me some Käsespätzle (Bavarian Mac 'n' Cheese if you will). The Italians at our table, wide-eyed with wonder, began to inquire about what I had ordered. I let everyone taste it, my plate now the Community Käsespätzle, and the Italians go crazy and order two plates of it immediately. Forget table manners, this is Wies'n......
and then the aftermath of the "Italian Käsespätzle Incident" for which Renate gave them a Yellow Card.....
During all this, of course there are sporadic Prosts and songs which come out of nowhere, are uninteligible yet everyone shouts out an approximation anyways in any one of fifeteen different languages all at once culminating with everyone raising their Maß in the air like this......
So, back to the Italians. As I said before there were five of them sharing a few Biers between them. After the Käsespätzle Incident, Renate kept a watchful eye on them throughout the afternoon. She eventually kicked them out because they were down to 1 Maß between the lot of them. She threatened to call over security (a very not hübsch female with a buzz cut), the Italians got scared and fled the scene. Next group of strangers please.......
