After a long time not posting anything, I'm back and ready to post with vigor. To the left is my new (old) place of work, the World Headquarters of West Texas BBQ Co. in Jackson, MI. I spent many long days (years) working here before I joined the Air Force.
Now; with my separation from the Air Force complete, I have rejoined this outfit with the goal of launching a full-scale Texas-BBQ take-out facility. We're doing lunches every Wednesday through Friday and business it starting to pick up.
The economy here is pretty bad to say the least. Factories are closing left and right and unemployment rates are nearly double the national average. Some people blame the Auto-Industry, others blame the governor. Who knows really, but I'm not about to leave this town.
Latest Book Read: Rough Music by Tariq Ali. Excellent look at the issues surrounding the London Bombings, England's support of American Foreign Policy and the negative effects of national security. Not a very pleasant piece of subject matter, but eye-opening and worth discussing.
