Yes, I spell music as musik, I like it that way. I think one of the most underrated movies of the past few years was Sunshine, which starred Cillian Murphy as a physicist on a team sent to the decaying Sun to drop off a nuclear payload meant to revive it and save Earth. There was some great musik during the movie to go along with some great special effects, but I thought it would of been obvious to use Pink Floyd's "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun". Now take in mind I'm not trying to be some musik snob by referencing some early Pink Floyd song, but this is my blog and an extension of my personal thoughts, so I'm going to be as obscure and weird as I wanna be.
So without babbling on any further, the lyrics to Pink Floyd's "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun"......there is not; mind you, any special insight to the lyrics from my perspective. I just like the song......
Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun
(Waters) 5:28
Little by little the night turns around.
Counting the leaves which tremble at dawn.
Lotuses lean on each other in yearning.
Under the eaves the swallow is resting.
Set the controls for the heart of the sun.
Over the mountain watching the watcher.
Breaking the darkness
Waking the grapevine.
One inch of love is one inch of shadow
Love is the shadow that ripens the wine.
Set the controls for the heart of the sun.
The heart of the sun, the heart of the sun.
Witness the man who raves at the wall
Making the shape of his questions to Heaven.
Whether the sun will fall in the evening
Will he remember the lesson of giving?
Set the controls for the heart of the sun.
The heart of the sun, the heart of the sun.
